Hapeville Depot Museum Introduces the National Museum of African American History & Culture

In September 2016, the Smithsonian Institute (Washington, D.C.) celebrated the opening of its newest museum - the National Museum of African American History. In 2017, the momentum continues as Hapeville Depot Museum presents "A PLACE FOR ALL PEOPLE: Introducing the National Museum of African American History and Culture."

The Hapeville Depot Museum exhibit combines the Smithsonian commemorative poster exhibit with artifacts and stories from our own local and regional African American experience to both honor the diversity of our community and to showcase the contributions of so many to this American story.

The poster exhibit will display Wednesday - Saturday, 1:00 - 4:00PM until April 8, 2017. Viewings or tours are also available at other times by appointment. Contact the Depot Museum at (404) 669-2175.
