Mayor Hallman Accepts ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! Be there to "Pour on the Suppport " Friday night at 9 p.m. at the Downtown Live Concert in the park. 50/50 Raffle, raffle winner wins half, runner-up gives the Mayor the ice bath at the concert!

($2 tickets, drawing at 9 p.m.)
• 1st Ticket: wins half the donations and the other half goes to ALS, Georgia Chapter.
• 2nd Ticket: gives the Mayor the ice bath!
50% of the raffle donations collected will be given directly to the Georgia Chapter of the ALS Association.

What is ALS?
Just what is ALS? Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a motor neuron disease, first described in 1869 by the noted French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot. ALS is a neurodegenerative disease that usually attacks both upper and lower motor neurons and causes degeneration throughout the brain and spinal cord. Although the cause of ALS is not completely understood, the last decade has brought a wealth of new scientific understanding about the disease that provides hope for the future.
