Downtown Hapeville comes alive Friday nights this Summer and Fall with live music and food vendors in the Jess Lucas Park in downtown Hapeville!
Downtown Live Concerts are held on the 3rd Friday of the months of through October! We hope you will join us for these fun community events. Band line-ups will be posted as soon as they are available.
Concert Planning is Underway!
2010 Downtown Live Concert Dates
- Friday, July 16th, 7:00 to 11 p.m., will feature Hapeville's own John Stringer as the opening act, with his soul filled rock band. (Note: event was cancelled due to rain, however John Stringer will perform at the October Concert!)
- Friday, August 20th, 7:00 to 11 p.m., will feature Hapeville natives Tim Purcell and Darwin Conort, performing with their daughters, in the band the "Foxes & Fossils".
- Friday, September 17th, this concert will celebrate the kick-off for the Happy Days festival the following day and will feature local bands sure to please all the Hapeville High School Reunion crowd in town for the weekend!
- Friday, October 15th, 7:00 to 11 p.m.will feature Hapeville's own John Stringer as the opening act with his soul filled rock sounds and Hapeville favorites Chameleon will perform all of your favorite cover tunes!

4th Annual Chili Cook-off at the October Concert!

YOU COULD BE A CASH WINNER! The Historic Christ Church has been relocated to the Jess Lucas Park and renovation is in progress. Therefore, we have The 4th Annual Chili Cook-off fundraiser event has been scheduled for Friday, October 15, 2010 to help continue the support needed to renovate and enhance the surrounding of this historic church.
We need participants to sign up and make their homemade chili for everyone to taste and cast their votes. The Chili Cook-off will be held in conjunction with the City’s “Downtown Live Concert in Jess Lucas Park. No cost to enter your favorite chili recipe. So come out and have a fun evening!
